Jenny Walton
b. Spokane, WA 1976
Jenny Walton received her BFA from Central Washington University in 2001. Before completing her studies at CWU she studied at the Lorenzo de Medici Scoula in Florence, Italy. This would lead her into the MFA program in Italy 4 years later through American University in Washington, D.C. She studied first in Corciano, Umbria and then Rome during her first year of graduate school. After the first year of her studies she transferred to the Washington, D.C. after the closing of the Italy program.
Walton has received the Joanne Crisp Ellert Award of Excellence and has shown at Katzen Museum of Art and DCAC gallery. She is currently a member of Sparkplug, an artist’s collective sponsored by DCAC gallery. She currently lives and works in the Washington, D.C. metro area.
